Title: Medieval Charter for one Monin Muset, 1335. Manuscript on Parchment
Condition: Very Good
A large early 14th century Medieval Period charter from France, handwritten on parchment in the year 1335, from the reign of King Philip VI. The manuscript is regarding a sale made by Monin Muset(?) and Alix, his wife, of the Parassy vineyard to Jehan Chambellan.
The charter is written in a 61-line format. There is an elaborate initial at the beginning, and a signature at the end. There is also a charming manicule.
One manuscript on parchment, 76 x 58 cm
This manuscript is in very good shape, with some fold marks and creasing affecting the lower left corner. There is some ink smearing and staining at the center, with a few letters faded. There is a bit of parchment lacking at the top and bottom, with one word partially obscured from the first line.
