A late 17th century edition of de Sacy’s Illuminations of the famous almanac of Frs. Jesuits, titled "The Rout and Confusion of the Jansenists”, which was simply a Jansenist attack against the Jesuit community, first published in 1654. This work is additionally bound with d'Aucourt’s Reply to the Letter of a Person of Status: Concerning the rules of conduct of the Holy Fathers in the composition of their works.
This volume is present with a large folding frontispiece with various figures depicted, some being general images of the Pope and King, and others being personified concepts such as Religion or Piety. This comes from the library of R. de Fournier Szczerba.

On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the boards, and splitting to the front joint at the head of the spine. There is virtually no foxing or staining throughout.
