A mid-19th century edition of Roy’s Leon and Alice, being the correspondence of a young traveler with his sister.
This edition is bound in a richly decorated and ornate cartonnage binding of the period, adorned with golden gilt set against green, with an illustration set into the central panel.
There are two handwritten notes present within the volume as well, with one referring to various monarchs and land ownership.

On note of condition this volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing to the corners. The binding is in excellent shape otherwise, with the gilt decoration shining brightly. There is minor foxing and staining throughout.
