An extremely scarce and newly corrected work on the Life of Jesus Christ, or the Short History of the Old and New Testaments, all taken from both the holy scriptures and faithful historians, and fully illustrated. From the Creation to the Crucifixion, the Great Famine and the Temple of Solomon, this work provides a quick and concise overview of some of the most notable evens of the Testaments.
This edition is profusely illustrated with 56 woodcuts of varying size throughout the book, utilizing an early medieval style to accentuate their design.
This text has been mounted onto a 17th century vellum binding, with finely written script on the inside of the covers. The endpapers bear a fairly unique pattern.
While there is no publishing date present on the title page, the year of 1808 has been neatly inscribed onto the front endpaper.
Worldcat does not record any copies of this edition in any institution.
One limp vellum volume in tall 12mo, 72 pages
On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with a chunk of vellum missing from the top of the front cover, as well as the front endpaper. Most of the pages are dogeared, with no loss to the text. There is foxing and staining throughout.
