This is one of several important Leuven imprints by the Leuven theologian Jean de Lens, on the troubled times and the position of Catholic priests and their subjects. They give a clear picture of the views of the conservative party in the Dutch Revolt: no toleration, no freedom of religion, etc. There is a woodcut title present on the title.

On note of condition, this volume is in very good shape, with the rebound leather being in remarkably excellent condition aside from very light scuffs. There is little to no foxing throughout.
