An early 19th century edition of what appears to be a condensed version of Rollin’s History of Rome, from the foundation of Rome until the battle of Actium: that is to say until the end of the Republic. There is a folding map of Italy, though it is torn. A second map has been torn out.
This is the fifth volume in the History Lessons for the Use of Youth series.
This volume has been bound in quarter vellum, with the vellum portion being a manuscript waste fragment of the 18th century.

On note of condition, this volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding. There is minor foxing throughout.
