This edition is bound in a richly decorated and ornate cartonnage binding of the period, with gilt against white and green, with a lithograph central panel of what is likely to be Charles himself holding a feast with his retinue, and beautiful flowering designs to the covers, with gilt running throughout the designs.
One finely decorated cartonnage volume in 12mo, 308 pages
On note of condition this volume is in good shape, with minor wear and rubbing to the binding, with heavier wear to the covers, and the head and foot of the spine, with a small stain to the rear board. There is light dampstaining to the right margin of the volume, affecting several text sections though not obscuring any letters.
