A manuscript commonplace book of poetry for an L.B. Smith, dating from 1822, and written in a flowing script of the Georgian era.
There are many lighthearted poems such as Forget-Me-Not, Ode to Spring, and slightly more somber ones such as Fortune Dooms Thee, with the latter supposedly coming from a collection of poetry by a Elizabeth Darwall.
There are a number of addresses to individuals and a lengthy essay present as well.
One commonplace manuscript in quarto, 150 pages, with 6 blanks
On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with wear and rubbing at the corners and spine, with peeling at the head of the spine. There is little to no foxing or staining throughout.
