A first edition of George Cruikshank’s Omnibus, being the book form of his illustrated compendium which was first issued in nine monthly parts from May 1841 to January 1842.
This edition contains twenty-two steel engravings and seventy-eight woodcuts, many highlighting the caricatures that earned him fame as an artist.
One finely bound volume in octavo, X+II+300 pages
On note of condition, this volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the boards. One of the prefatory leaves is torn. There is minor foxing throughout.
