A scarce first and only edition of Heroic Fables, containing the soundest maxims of politics and morals by Bruzen la Martiniere for the use of the Prince of Asturias. This is the second of two volumes.
There are 30 numbered engravings, one for each fable. Fables 21 and 23 are misnumbered.
One finely bound volume in 12mo, 228 pages
On note of condition, this volume is in very good shape, with some rubbing and wear to the binding, with several small gaps and leather loss. A piece of the margin from page 147 is lacking, though not affecting any text or illustrations. There is minor foxing and staining throughout.
