This text is also bound with an exceptionally scarce 1st edition printing of Schwebel’s work on death in German legend and poetry, being a historical analysis of death in various legends and poetical works.
There is a colored frontpiece, with over 20 other illustrations throughout. The spine is decorated with gilt skulls.
