A late 19th century edition of Ewart’s life of Cosimo de Medici, the Italian banker and politician who established the Medici family as effective rulers of Florence during much of the Italian Renaissance.
This work is bound in a Florentine-style vellum binding, with hand painted flowering designs and lettering against gilt to the font cover, some stitching to the covers, and a leather tie.
One vellum bound volume in octavo, 240 pages
This volume is in very good shape, with minimal rubbing to the binding, and some staining to the front cover. There is very little foxing or staining throughout. The binding is slightly splayed.
