A mid 17th century edition of Matthias Fabers’ collection of funeral and wedding sermons. Faber was a 17th century Jesuit who gained some fame as a controversialist theologian during the era of Counter Reformation.
This volume has been rebound using a medieval manuscript of the 15th century, with rubrication in red, as well as one blue initial. The manuscript itself appears to be a commentary or sermon on the Gospel of John.

On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with some staining to the binding, and old mold stains to the rear board. The rear endpapers are wormed and have extremely old mold stains. There is minor foxing throughout, with slight damp staining.
