Title: Commentariorum in omnes canonicas Apostolorum Epistolas. Tomus Tertius and Secundus, 1631
Author: Willem Hesselszoon van Est; Peter Henning; Jacob Merlo Horstius
Publisher: Coloniae Agrippinae, Apud Petri Henningii
Condition: Good
An early 17th century edition of Willem Hessels Van Est’s Commentaries on all the Canonical Epistles of the Apostles, containing the second and third part of three. Confusingly, part three has been bound in before the second part, though this could be because part three still has its title page, and the second does not.
This volume has been rebound using a medieval manuscript of the 15th century, with rubrication in red and blue.
Two parts bound into one manuscript wrapped volume in folio, 1091-1314, (6), 605-1090 pages
On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding, notable to the paper reinforcements at the spine. There is foxing throughout, with the pages browned and toned. The title page to part 2 is lacking.
