This edition is bound in a richly decorated and ornate cartonnage binding of the period, with a chromatic gilt against white and detailed flowers of various shades and colors. There is a unique design to the back cover of four small flowering designs at the center. There is a lithograph central panel of Charles I.
One finely decorated cartonnage volume in 12mo, 283 pages
On note of condition this volume is in good shape, with very little rubbing or wear to the binding, and namely to the corners. The gathering of pages 27-47 are partially loosened, but still holding on by a single cord. There is toning to pages, with minor foxing throughout.
