An early 12th century bifolio leaf fragment, taken from some type of liturgical manuscript, written in Latin, and produced in Germany, in a late Carolingian-Gothic (Proto-Gothic) script. There are also several lines of early Medieval marginalia.
This manuscript was once used as binder’s waste, saved from a bookbinding, and used as a spine lining, as is evident with the shape of the fragment.
This manuscript fragment is written in a 7-line two-column format.
One manuscript on parchment, 4.6 x 25.8 cm
This manuscript is in good shape, with some rubbing and old staining to the parchment. A few words of text are obscured by staining.
