A scarce and early 17th century edition Vulgate bible, being the Sixtine-Clementine authorized Catholic text. This volume is bound in a fine burgundy morocco, with gilt frames and fleurons on the covers. There is also ruling present throughout the pages.
The frontispiece has been copied from that of the Roman editions of 1590 and 1592, and two highly detailed engravings have been utilized as pastedowns for the boards.

On note of condition, this volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the boards, and stress at the joints. There is a small tear to one leaf near the end. There is minor foxing and staining throughout.
