An early 17th century edition of Bellarminus enervates, the anti-Catholic and particularly anti-Jesuit work composed by the English Puritan theologian William Ames, against Cardinal Robert Bellarmine. This is two of his four books, bound into one volume.
This volume has been bound in vellum, with pleasing yapp edges, and the title having been handwritten on the spine.
