Augusto Meineko's revision of the epistles of Alciphron, the Rhetorician, otherwise known as one of the most famous Greek epistolographers, which was a form of Byzantine writing similar to the art of rhetoric. This volume contains numerous anecdotes relative to the manners and customs of the Greeks, and although the validity of the mentioned writers and authors come into doubt at times, they do appear to be compiled from legitimate and historical sources, as noted by Meineko.
