Title: A Dictionary of Quotations from the British Poets, 1824
Author: David Evans Macdonnel; William Kingdom
Publisher: London, G. and W.B. Whittaker
Condition: Good

An extremely scarce first edition set of Kingdoms’ Dictionary of Quotations, with each volume respectively focusing on Shakespeare, Blank Verse, Rhyme, and the fourth volume which is a general dictionary of various quotes from other poets.

Worldcat does not record this complete four volume set in any existing library, only the first three volumes.

Four finely bound volumes in 12mo, 276, 355, 431, 416 pages

On note of condition, these volumes are in good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the boards, and stress to the joints, with some fraying to the head and foot of the spines. Volume two has slightly softer joints. There is little to no foxing or staining throughout.
